Today I’m reviewing the Thermaltake Massive23 LX Laptop Notebook Cooler (model #CLN0015 ), which I would consider a sister to the Thermaltake Massive23 CS I reviewed earlier. This bad boy comes with a giant 230 mm fan, which is 9 inches for those of us who don’t use the metric system. The fan runs at a slower speed due to its gigantic size, but it puts out huge volumes of air and reduces your laptop’s temperature significantly. During my testing, my hard drive’s temperature decreased from around 140 – 150 F to a much cooler 95 – 100 F. That’s quite a cool down, and could save you months to years on your computer’s lifespan. Even with all this cooling power, the Massive23 LX uses very little battery power, even with the LED lights on.
