I honestly believe whoever designed the Logitech N700 Speaker Lapdesk should be given an award. That might not even be enough, so let’s make it two awards. Yes, this lapdesk / speaker / laptop cooler is that good, there isn’t one thing that the creators left out. More and more people these days are using their laptop as an entertainment center – watching movies on them, playing games, listening to music and virtually everything else they used to do on a desktop. With this great device, you can now experience the desktop experience of comfort and great sound anywhere in your house!

The Logitech Cooling Pad N120 doesn’t get everything right – the lacking grips on the pad immediately come to mind – but what it does do correctly it does great, and thankfully the pad gets most things right.
The N120 can comfortably fit notebooks with displays up to 15.6”, although a 17” laptop could probably also lay flat but would definitely hang over the sides.
The power consumption at max is 5V @ 200mA (AKA very little) and the fan noise level is around 27 decibels. It is USB powered and has a slot in the back of the pad to store the cord when it is not being used.
Today I’ve decided to review the NotePal X3 by Cooler Master. Cooler Master is a well-known name in the world of laptop coolers and never fail to disappoint when debuting new products. The NotePal X3 continues this legacy and is a high quality cooler that delivers on multiple fronts.
In my family everyone owns a notebook – my sister has her Dell, my mom treasures her HP Pavilion, my dad loves his ASUS and my grandparent’s each have a Sony Vaio they received recently as gifts (and are still struggling to use them!). In addition to the different laptop models, they are all different sizes and finding accessories usable by all of them can be a challenge. That’s where the Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim Notebook Cooler comes in handy – it’s super affordable and can fit all of our laptops up to 17” with no problems, making it a great cooler to have sitting around the house available to everyone. The cooler has one 160 mm (about 6.3 inch) fan that provides a very impressive volume of air. The surface of the pad is metal and is in a mesh pattern – which the company claims allows for better airflow. It certainly seems to allow for a large amount of air, you can actually feel the metal getting cold after you’ve had the pad on for awhile!
The Thermaltake Massive23 CS CLN0008 is one of my favorite coolers. It combines style and substance into one package. Looking at the cooler for the first time, the first thing you will probably notice is the fan – it’s huge! It comes in at 23 cm (hence the 23 in Massive23) or about 9 inches in diameter. It has 13 clear blades and runs at a somewhat slow speed due to its size – but trust me, this thing does an amazing job of cooling your laptop down! The actual case itself is at a nice angle for desk work , and at the bottom of the cooler is a rubber strip that stops your laptop from slipping forward. It makes for a very comfortable place to rest your hands while typing. I will have to say that this particular cooler is more suited for desk work – it is fairly large making it hard to carry around and the case has no bottom so it is difficult to position it on your lap. This makes it perfect for gaming, watching movies, any deskwork and desktop replacement laptops.
